Bunyi klik, krak atau pop dari lutut tidak selalu berarti bahwa lutut bermasalah. Pada banyak orang, lutut sering kali berbunyi saat jongkok atau menggerakkan sendi. Anda tidak perlu kuatir kalau tidak ada rasa nyeri atau bengkak.

Dengan berjalannya waktu, tulang rawan menjadi tipis, tidak rata dan kasar. Jika tulang rawan ini bergesekan satu sama lain, akan terdengar suara krak. Ini adalah proses penuaan yang terjadi di lutut.

Kadang, otot paha lemah dan membuat sendi lutut kurang stabil, Hal ini dapat menimbulkan bunyi klik. Senam menguatkan otot paha dapat menyetabilkan lutut dan menghilangkan bunyi klik.

Tetapi jika bunyi di lutut disertai rasa nyeri dan bengkak, anda perlu periksa ke dokter tulang. Ini mungkin tanda ada cedera pada meniscus atau tulang rawan.

Meniscus adalah bantalan di lutut yang berbentuk C. Robekan pada meniscus bisa terjadi saat cedera olahraga. Robekan ini dapat menggangu gerakan lutut sehingga menimbulkan klik atau krak disertai rasa nyeri.

Jika ada serpihan tulang rawan yang keluar, serpihan ini bisa membuat sendi lutut macet and berbunyi pop atau klik.
